History of ADE Industries and Access Vehicles We were incorporated in 1987, with the dream and desire to serve the people with physical disabilities. In 1991, our new facility was complete on Palo Verde Rd., the space was needed so we could build and service vehicles for our ever growing customer base. At our open house, the Honorable George Miller, Mayor of Tucson, dedicated the building to the "Physically challenged population of Southern Arizona." Member of Better Business Bureau - 1989-2007 Mayor's Committee on Employment of the Handicapped - Dedication Participation Award About our Founders Ernest "Ernie" Hernandez, President and owner of A.D.E., was born and raised in Tucson. He graduated from Tucson High, attended the University of Arizona and was resident manager of the Ronald McDonald House. He currently manages the scooter lift sales, service, and misc. equipment portion of the business. Rebecca Parton, Owner of Access Vehicles, has 30 years experience in the automotive field evaluating individual needs, and customizing vehicles for the disabled community. She joined ADE in 1988 and helped structure the business to meet the needs of the disabled community. In 1996 Rebecca created Access Vehicles, our lowered floor vehicle division, with sales of both new and used wheelchair accessible vehicles. Our MissionAt A.D.E. Industries and Access Vehicles we realize the unique requirements of each physically impaired individual and therefore offer an evaluation of the client's needs concerning mobility aides. This mobility assessment and evaluation appointment is free of charge and can be scheduled at a time and location convenient to the client.Seldom is the application of adapted mobility aid services, products, or home and vehicle modifications the same for any two individuals. The mobility assessment evaluation considers such factors as: desired mobility, physical and mental limitations, budget, and long-term client goals. With these parameters in mind A.D.E. will recommend and install the most suited equipment for the client's requirements. Our staff has the proper training for the manufacturing and installation of all equipment. They have all been to the manufacturer's service schools and we have certification for each and every one of them. A.D.E. is a member of NMEDA, National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association. We follow strict guidelines for building and equipping vehicles.
